GI Bill education benefits.

First Time Application
DD 22-1990 Application for GI Bill Benefits (For Veterans) A fillable form than can be saved and printed.
DD 22-5490 Application for GI Bill Benefits (For Spouses and Dependents of Veterans) A fillable form than can be
saved and printed.


Change of Institution / Change of Major
DD 22-1995 Request for Change of Program or Place of Training (For Veterans)A fillable form than can be saved and printed.
DD 22-5495 Request for Change of Program or Place of Training (For Spouses and Dependents of Veterans)A fillable form than can be saved and printed.

VA Online Application
If you apply online, the VA will still require you to send them a signed signature page to go with your electronic application. They can not finish processing your application without it.

Verification of Enrollment
This website is used by veterans to verify their attendance monthly. All veterans (not spouses or dependents) must verify their attendance before they will be paid for that month. The earliest a veteran can verify is the last day of that month. Then you will usually receive your monthly payment within 3 to 5 working days after you verify. You can also verify over the phone by calling 1-877-823-2378.
