To qualify for financial aid, all students must complete the Free Application for Financial Student Aid, or FAFSA. The application is FREE (never pay a fee to complete a financial aid application).
If you are attending more than one college or university while taking classes at the University Center, make sure you list each institution on your financial aid form.
Grants
A grant is a gift of money and doesn’t require you to pay it back. The most well-know grant is the Federal Pell Grant. Not all students qualify for a Federal Pell Grant. Your eligibility and amount of Federal Pell Grant is determined by the information you submit on your Free Application for Financial Student Aid (FAFSA).
Student Loans
The government offers several loans to students going to school. The amount of loan(s) is generally set by the school you are attending and may include enough money to cover tuition, housing, and other expenses. All loans must be paid back. Scholarships
A scholarship is an award based on academic performance, talent, or other factors. Scholarships may have certain requirements however the majority of the time they do not require you to pay them back. Learn about scholarship opportunities.
