What is Concurrent Enrollment?
Concurrent enrollment creates an opportunity for high school students to take college classes during their high school time. Each course a student completes counts as both a high school credit and college credit concurrently. Courses are available in the Fall, Spring, & Summer semesters at the University Center through NOC. This program is open to high school juniors and seniors, but there are a few requirements you have to meet to be able to participate in concurrent enrollment.
You might also be wondering how much the class will cost? One 3 Credit Hour class at the University Center is currently $646.59 (not including books or additional fees)*. EACH high school student who participates in one or more classes at the University Center will receive up to a scholarship for taking their classes at the University Center.
In addition, all high school Seniors get their tuition waived for up to 6 classes (or 18 credit hours). For the 23-24 School Year, Juniors get their tuition waived for up to 3 classes (or 9 credit hours).
For Juniors and Seniors, the cost for one 3 credit hour class is $278.49 (without books or additional fees)*. Imagine being able to complete a semester’s worth of college classes before even officially starting college! Even better, those classes are also able to be transferred to any college in the state of Oklahoma as well as most colleges outside the state.
