Summer STEM Academy — Now Hiring!
The University Center at Ponca City is hiring for its Summer STEM Academy, a hands-on learning program for school-aged students. We're looking for enthusiastic instructors and assistants to help make this summer's academy a great experience. The 2026 academy runs the weeks of June 15–18, June 22–25, July 6–9, and July 13–16. Not every position will work every camp week.
STEM Academy Instructor
(Temporary Part-Time)
(Temporary Part-Time)
Instructors teach engaging, hands-on STEM lessons for elementary, middle, and high school students. Topics may include robotics, coding, game design, forensics, energy, 3-D printing, and more.
Responsibilities Teach STEM courses aligned with the academy curriculum and facilitate hands-on activities and projects. Engage and mentor students in an interactive classroom setting. Support student learning through demonstrations, discussions, and project work. Collaborate with academy staff to ensure a positive program experience. Follow University Center policies and youth program safety guidelines.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM field or related discipline (preferred). Experience teaching, tutoring, or mentoring students. Experience providing STEM instruction. Strong communication and classroom facilitation skills.
Compensation Competitive hourly rate depending on qualifications and experience.

Evening Classroom Facilitator— Now Hiring!
Provide classroom assistance to students, professors and staff in a higher education setting.
Job Duties:
Skills/Qualifications:
· Excellent communication skills
· Customer service oriented
· Ability to walk and move around the campus up to 75% of the time
Work Day(s)/Hour(s):
Monday-Thursday, 4:00 – 10:00; hours may change each semester depending upon class schedule. Days will vary as needed.
Job Duties:
- Assist in the operation of Interactive Television classrooms
- Assist students when needed with procedures involving admissions, enrollment, financial aid, student advisement, ordering books, etc. by working with appropriate personnel at other higher education institutions.
- Assist students in the computer labs
- Perform routine office procedures such as data entry, filing, copying, faxing, scanning, etc.
- Answer phones and assist and greet customers
- Proctor tests when needed
Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience clerical or administrative experience
- Proficient in MS Word and Windows
· Excellent communication skills
· Customer service oriented
· Ability to walk and move around the campus up to 75% of the time
